Functional Diagnostic Nutrition-Practitioner

 Healing and Health are possible!

What I do

As a functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner, I do many things to help you address your health.  One thing that helps me to stand out is providing you access to lab work.  The lab work you run will give us information about how your body is functioning and provide opportunities for healing.  No longer are you restricted to what your doctor and insurance company deems necessary!  You can dig so much deeper to help figure out how to truly feel better, not just mask your symptoms with a pill.  I assess your diet, rest, exercise, stress and supplementation and help you create an individualized protocol to address those healing opportunities we discover in your hormone, immune, detoxification, digestion, energy production and nervous systems. From there, you decide the course you want to take.  It's your body, your health and your decision, I'm simply your guide, your educator, your coach and your biggest cheerleader.

Let's get started with a free 30 minute discovery call.  I'll go into more detail and learn more about your needs.

Together, we can help you reach health goals you didn't thing possible!

My Story

I'm a trained educator.  I hold multiple master's degrees in education and, yet I left a career I loved.  Why?  Well, it was killing me slowly.  I say that with all sincerity.  I was a district administrator leading special education departments in 9 schools, working 60-70 hours a week.  My body was sending clear messages that it was struggling, but I ignored them.  That is until one morning, I woke up to see two large bald spots on my head smack in the middle of my long, wavy, thick brown hair.  I freaked out.  I went to my doctor immediately and was diagnosed with alopecia.  Fast forward after many doctor's appointment, nothing worked.  In 2021, I had experienced the most stressful year of my life.  I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer.  My world turned upside down. I had lost my best friend.

My heart was broken.

In June, I was diagnosed with RA, in October with Lupus and the following January with eczema.  After the RA diagnosis and my rheumatologist placing me on medication, I just knew there had to be more I could do.  So I found the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (R) program and signed up immediately.  I learned so much but didn't put anything into practice.  In October, my rheumatologist wanted to add another harsh drug and told me there was really nothing I could do to stop this trajectory.  I went home, frustrated and angry, and sent in my own lab work.  When my results came in, I made changes IMMEDIATELY.  For 4+ solid months, I worked on my own protocol. I changed everything.

The results were amazing.

This past April I had to switch medical teams because of insurance.  My new team ran every lab that insurance would cover.  There were absolutely NO SIGNS of any autoimmune disease except alopecia.  I'm off of all medication including high blood pressure meds, hydroxychloroquine and even my allergy medicine that I've taken since I was 9.  I believed in what I was learning but never thought that I would be symptom free ever again.  Even better...my hair is beginning to show signs of coming back.  I no longer nap, we go for half marathon walks for fun, food no longer owns me, my anxiety is under control and I just plain feel GREAT.

There is no easy way to health.

This wasn't easy.  I addressed my catabolic behaviors, emotional trauma and made changes I did not want to make. But, it was worth every single sacrifice. After doing the hard work on myself, I knew, without a doubt, that I wanted to help others.  I know that there are no guarantees and not everyone will experience results like I did, but to be able to help people improve their lives, that's just a special gift right there and one that I'm so honored to be able to share what I've learned with others.

Packages and Payment

Of course, there is a financial investment involved.  Lab work is not free and is often not covered by insurance and ongoing coaching requires a commitment from both parties.

I calculated my medical fees for the past 10 years and came up with about $73,000.00 in expenses and I was STILL facing 4 autoimmune diseases, a draw full of pharmaceutical drugs and a dismal future.  With an investment of less than 5% of that dollar amount, I changed my life. While there are never guarantees, I am so incredibly grateful that I took the chance on myself!

I know that sometimes coming up with a lump sum is tough, even when you know it's the right thing for you, so I have signed up with Advance Care to offer clients financing options.  Credit check and approval is needed, of course.  Upon approval, you can enjoy up to 15 months, interest free financing.  (Sorry, I have no say as to who is or is not approved, I don't even see your application!)
