The Magic Wand

I was talking to a client yesterday and asked her this question... If I had a magic wand and could give you the life you want, what would it look like? She said the expected things like having money, being free of debt, traveling the world, hot husband, etc.

If you know me as a coach, you know that wasn't going to fly. Those are superficial answers. I wanted to know more. I wanted her to dig deep. So I asked more questions. If you woke up today in your ideal life, what would it look like? If you had the ideal health, what would you be able to do? If all of your stress was lifted, how would you feel? If you slept a full 8 hours, what would that mean to you? If food made you feel good, how would you feel? If money wasn't an issue, what would you do today? What would it give you to be able to travel anywhere? What would you do if you weren't exhausted every night?

If you dig real deep, the questions are almost hard to answer because we've forgotten how to dream and, really, we've forgotten that returning to a life where we are empowered and in control is so beyond us that we don't even know how to process the idea that we are in control of our lives. We've just become...complacent and reactive.

So today, I want you to go to a room in complete silence. I know, does that even exist? It does. Close the door...even if you are having to sit with a notebook in your empty bathtub to get silence. Turn on some soft music and write. Answer these questions. Then, go deeper. What would it mean to you to feel better, more vital, more motivated? What would you do? How would your relationships be different? What goal would you chase? What problem would you solve? How would you feel when you wake up? How would it feel to chase that goal? How would it feel to solve that problem? How would it feel to have stronger, more meaningful relationships? Some of you are reading this and don't even have any goals. How would it feel to have a goal to reach for? I got off the phone with this client and decided to go through this exercise myself. I wrote 8 pages, front and back. Then I realized that for me, I could sum it up into one word.

ALIVE.

Not just existing. Not floating to wherever the wind takes me. Not watching my body continue to break down. Not residing in a state of anxiety and stress. No. If I had that magic wand, I would want to feel...

ALIVE. So I got up and wrote it on my whiteboard. Even though I'm helping others on their journey, that doesn't mean that I stopped working on myself. I do feel alive. I feel healthier than I have in 30 years. I have energy and motivation. I live with intention. But the truth is that health is fleeting. If I stop doing the right things, if I forget about my "why", I could easily slip back into a state of disease and all of the symptoms that comes with it. I don't want to go back there. It was a miserable place to be. So I need to remember that I want to feel...

ALIVE.

I encourage you to participate in this exercise. Then write your ONE word that sums up how you want your life to be. Make it visible. Screen saver, white board, tape the word to your bathroom mirror, put it in the refrigerator, wherever you need to be reminded. When you start to falter from your goals, remember that word.

One announcement before I go...I have developed a new Entry Level Package... Have you thought about digging deeper into your health but you're not quite ready for a full coaching program complete with many labs and ongoing coaching?

I have the perfect option!

Let's take a look at the mineral composition of your body and test for toxic metals.

Why?

Dr. Schroeder wrote “the trace elements are more important in nutrition than the vitamins, in the sense that they cannot be synthesized by living matter, as is the case with the vitamins. Thus they are the basic spark plugs in the chemistry of life, on which the exchanges of energy in the combustion of foods, and the building of living tissue depend.” – preface, The Trace Elements And Man

How?

A simple hair sample can provide insight on mineral and toxic metal levels and how well the body is able to currently excrete toxic metals.

Why does this matter?

Trace minerals are essential in metabolic functions in all phases of the life process. For example:

Zinc aids in the production, storage, and secretion of insulin and is necessary for growth hormones.

Magnesium is a necessity for normal muscular function and development, especially the heart. Magnesium deficiencies have been linked with increased anxiety, feelings of stress, and heart attacks.

Potassium is absolutely necessary for normal nutrient transport into the cell. A potassium deficiency can result in weak muscles, depression, and fatigue/lethargy.

Sodium is tricky. While excess sodium can be associated with hypertension, adequate amounts are required for normal health.

Okay, but how much?

Here's the good part. Right now, I'm running a special on this lab. I think it's so important to get you started so I'm bundling the lab, a results session and one free coaching session for $379!

Less than $400, you can begin to figure out how your body is processing food, minerals and metals.
